HOW TO READ THE BIBLE
2 Tim 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as a tried-and-true worker who isn’t ashamed to teach the word of truth correctly.
- Make reading a daily habit. Choose a time that feels comfortable and convenient for you.
- Allocate at least 15 minutes for reading if you are truly committed to your relationship with God.
- Choose a quiet, regular spot for reading—free from distractions like TV, music, or noise that might interrupt your conversation with God.
- Keep a pen nearby. If you come across an intriguing verse or receive a message from the Holy Spirit, jot it down.
- Read the Bible for personal growth. It provides essential inspiration and guidance for how we should live. It is the Bread of Life. Remember to pray for insights relevant to your day.
- Maintain a daily spiritual journal. Use it to capture thoughts and revelations you receive from God during your reading.
WHAT CAN BIBLE STUDY DO FOR YOU
It can make you a stronger Christian:
1 Joh 2:14 I’ve written to you, children… I’ve written to you, young people, because you are strong and God’s word lives in you. You have won the victory over the evil one.
It CONFIRMS your salvation:
1 Joh 5:13 I’ve written this to those who believe in the Son of God so that they will know that they have eternal life.
1 Cor 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know God, God decided through the nonsense of our preaching to save those who believe.
It gives us confidence and power in prayer:
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him: if we ask for anything according to his will, he listens to us.
1 John 5:15 And if we know that he listens to our requests, we can be sure that we have what we ask him for.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Cleansing of sins:
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
John 17:17 Use the truth to make them holy. Your words are truth.

HOW DO WE KNOW OUR SIN IS FORGIVEN?
1 Joh 1:9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we’ve done wrong.
It guides us through the daily decisions we have to MAKE:
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.
Luke 11:28 Jesus replied, “Rather, how blessed are those who hear and obey God’s word.” The more you fill yourself with the word, the clearer is the path
It will give you peace:
John 16:33 I’ve told you all this so that, trusting me, you will be unshakeable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.
Col 3:15 Let the peace of Christ also rule in your hearts, to which you were called in one body, and be thankful. (with His crucifixion )
Peace doesn’t simply appear on its own; we must actively cultivate it within our hearts! This can be achieved by immersing our thoughts in the promises and faithfulness of God, as well as the principles found in His Word. Engaging with His Word through reading is key!
It will give you joy:
John 15:11 I have told you this so that you will be as joyful as I am, and your joy will be complete.
You can speak about your faith more clearly:
1Pe 3:15 Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy.
I never had the chance to share my faith with anyone
It ensures SUCCESS:
Jos 1:8 And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers. Rather, he delights in the teachings of the LORD and reflects on his teachings day and night. He is like a tree planted beside streams – a tree that produces fruit in season and whose leaves do not wither. He succeeds in everything he does.
Bible Study example on 1 John 1
- Invite some friends, siblings, or children to read a verse.
- Find out which verses they appreciate and what truly resonates with them.
1 John 1:4 And we write these things to you so that your joy may be full.
- What are these things? – Word of God
- Your joy – whose joy is he talking about? – All Christians
- What is joy? – God’s Word says I can have joy. How can we find it?
- Will God‘s Word lie? No!
The verses ought to be divided into manageable sections, allowing for discussion and prayer at the conclusion. Take the time to analyze each verse deeply and reflect on its meaning; don’t simply read through it and continue. Express gratitude to God or seek His assistance in believing His Word when it affirms certain truths.
- Consider one of the Bible’s books
- Read through it – verse by verse (take your time)
- Read it again and mark your favorite passages on it (ask questions about the verse)
- Then pray the verses (use it in your daily life, to encourage)
- Memorize it
- Start with a new book all over again.
In reality, most Christians are too busy to take time to reflect on God’s Word
20 MINUTES AT LEAST WON’T KILL YOU !
